Why Should This Be Important To You?

As Pleasantview Community members we have an expectation that those that we put in charge are volunteering because they want to make a positive difference in our community. We also have an expectation that they will be honest and trustworthy with our money.
The board of directors are supposed to be elected members of the community. The proper process is completely defined in the bylaws that govern our community. Without getting into really boring legal jargon, let me just point out a few very important point. Section 3.4 of the Bylaws states that there will be a minimum of 5 directors to constitute a legal board. Without this minimum number of directors no actions can be taken by the directors that are binding.
Section 3.5 states that in order to build this board, there must be a nominating committee. This committee must be made up of three members, one of which must be a board member and three members of the community. The nominating committee must be appointed by the board of directors and this must happen at least 30 days prior to the annual meeting where the election will take place. There are some other important points in this section but the major focus here is that there must be a committee, it must be formed by the board of directors and it must happen at least 30 days prior to the annual meeting.

So Whats The Issue?
The issue is that this group of individuals, Deb Carella, Teresa Ratliff Burks, Sandra Bennett and Jennifer Naylor were never elected by the members of our community. Think back to all of the meetings you have been to, has there ever been an election? Do you remember anyone ever getting up in front of everyone discussing their qualifications and why they think they would be best for the position? Anything At All? No, I did not think so, because there has not been ANY elections for as far back as 2010 as far as we can tell from the records we were able to recover from the discovery of this suit that was filed against Craig and Catherine Severance.
Think about this for just a minute.... four so called board members decide that they do not like to see a commercial vehicle in front of my house. Mostly in my driveway, and instead of coming to talk to me, emailing me, calling me, knocking on my door, they claim they sent one letter one year earlier, then file a lawsuit against me. Do you know anyone else that keeps a bus, a large dump truck, police car, vinyl wrapped trucks with company names on it, construction company vehicles, RV, boats and many other types of vehicles in the neighborhood? Well all of those are also violations of the bylaws and covenants. None of them ever received complaint letters even after we submitted complaints to the management company (Main Street Management LLC which is also part of this scam) asking the management company to do something about those vehicles. Nothing was ever done and in many many cases, never even received a violation letter.
Did you know that any chain link fence is a violation, also signs on your house of any kind. Two of the members still have these items and installed them while they were so called board members. Don't you think if you are going to be a board member you should lead by example? They don't think so.

This is why it is so important for each of us to register for this class action suit, fight back against those that have chosen to spend your money on fraudulent lawsuits, waste our money on their own agenda which has nothing to do with what the community wants. Lets start healing by coming together and register for this class action suit
against Deb Carella, Teresa Ratliff Burks, Sandra Bennett, Jennifer Nayor and the Main Street Management LLC crime syndicate.
